Pastoral care lies at the heart of the Church. It is the compassionate presence in line with Jesus' love for His sheep especially the least, the lost, the littlest, the lonely and the last. It involves accompanying and being with those who are usually neglected and set aside by society. At the very least, Pastoral care enables healing and growth to take place within individuals and their relationships. It nurtures growth toward wholeness, and it provides guidance in decision making and challenges towards hearing the Good News of Jesus. We, at St. Mary's Cathedral give the highest importance in this aspect of salvation of souls.
We are currently conducting a survey of the Pastoral Care needs of those who are 75 years and older, as well as those who are homebound or isolated in some care facilities. Please spend a few minutes to fill it out HERE. Pass it on to others you know who might be able to benefit from our community's initiative to care for one another. This survey will be open until March 31, 2023.
